I am loving my new HomeRight Finish Max Sprayer! For months this $10 file cabinet has been sitting in my garage waiting for me to finally paint it. When I got my sprayer in the mail and used it to makeover this dresser (for a second time!) I knew I needed to use it again to quickly paint this cabinet.
I wasn’t sure what color to paint the cabinet, but since my desk is blue and my sewing cabinet is orange, I thought it would be best to go neutral. I did three thin coats of white on the outside and inside, and then sealed everything with my favorite wax from Americana Decor. The entire thing took maybe an hour, including drying time, talk about fast!
I also spray painted the gross gold hardware brushed bronze to give it an even more complete look.
Once dry and put back together, I started organizing my paperwork (so. much. paperwork) and realized I was missing one thing- LABELS. Although no one is really going to be seeing or snooping through my file cabinet (I hope!) I still wanted some pretty labels to put on the tabs on my hanging files!
*Click here to print off a copy of your own labels!
The labels are a bit on the bigger side (hey at least it won’t take long to find the file you were looking for!), so scale the graphic to your desired size.
In a perfect world where I could go paperless, the only point of this file cabinet would be to look cute and store fabric or random things, but I just can’t get over storing my entire life on the internet and not having direct access without power or internet to important documents. Anyone with me?
