For our Christmas decor this year I really wanted to go rustic and neutral colored with pops of red here any there- and these winter scenes really completed my woodsy rustic look!
Making these is as easy as you want to, depending on your local craft store you could have a huge supply of sizes of cloches and decorations for the inside.
I chose to go for small cloches so they could move around my house through the years, and since I’ll keep some winter decor up after Christmas- I didn’t do just Christmas displays. I shopped mostly at Joann’s for these supplies- they had special small trees, snowballs, figurines, and houses specifically made for little cloche (or village) displays!
Supplies:
- Plastic cloche displays (mine were at Joann’s)
- Glitter- white
- Fake snow
- Spray adhesive
- Glue gun & glue
- Wire brush bottle trees (at Joann’s)
- Small snowballs (again, at Joann’s!)
- Figurines (Santa, moose, squirrel, fox, house, etc)
To start I used my spray adhesive and sprayed the inside of the base evenly and sprinkled the fake snow over top. I did about 2-3 layers of adhesive then snow and let dry. I didn’t use glitter since my snow was a bit glittery- but sprinkling some glitter on the snow never hurt anyone 😉
Then I made a pile of snowballs next to the little tree and hot glued them all down.
Lastly, I added my figurine to the display with hot glue and let everything dry.
Because of the potential that the figurines might fall over or come undone while being moved around in storage I didn’t glue the top down to the base of the cloche, but feel free to do that!
These little cuties have already shifted around my house and I’ve only had them up a short time! First they started on my kitchen table- then I found a CUTE display for my kitchen table- and so they moved to my mantle under my TV (more on that in my Christmas living room tour!)
PS- In case you’re wondering, that amazing garland is from Joann’s (of course!)
