- Coasters
- Stencils
- Spray Paint
- Sealer (poly, wax, etc)
Before busting out the spray paint, be sure to clean off your coasters and dry them and work on a clean surface. When spray painting you don’t want to be working on a dirty surface to avoid spraying around any dirt onto your coasters (learned from experience….).
You also want to work in short bursts and light coats. I did two coats of gold on the coasters and let dry between each coat.
After that layer dried I added my stencils. I already had an idea of what I wanted to do after I saw my stencils, so I didn’t really plan it out much. I’d recommend before any painting to cut out your stencils and lay them on your stencil until you like the layout and take a photo for reference after you paint.
After the stencils were laid out nice and pretty, and firmly and flatly, I grabbed my white spray paint and did 3 light layers with a few touch ups.

These came out so good! I love when people add gold to fun accents in their homes! Just that little bit of sparkle or shine can make such a difference in a dull room! And these coasters? A super easy DIY! They’d be so fun to do all kinds of color combinations with for the different seasons and holidays too! Thanks for sharing this!
